Ako city is located at the southwest end of Hyogo Prefecture, on the border with Okayama Prefecture.
It takes about 1 hour and a half from Osaka city by train.
The Chikusa River, selected as one of the 100 best waters, flows through the center of the town.
It is part of the Seto Inland Sea National Park.

Ako Gishi Festival
The Ako Gishi Festival is held every year on December 14.
Since 1903, it has been grandly held as the largest event in Ako, and has been held more than 100 times.
